What this site is

SalentoMares is a free informational service that estimates sea conditions on the beaches of Salento, based on wind, waves and coastal exposure. It is not an official forecasting service, does not replace communications from the Port Authority, and has no relationship with local public bodies.

No guarantee on the data

The scores and forecasts shown are automated estimates based on weather and marine models, and may differ from reality, especially for local effects the models do not capture. Do not use this site for decisions affecting safety at sea: always follow official ordinances and the beach lifeguard service. The site operator is not liable for direct or indirect damages arising from use of, or reliance on, the published data.

Permitted use

You may freely browse the site for personal use. Copying, redistributing or reusing the content, text or processed data for commercial purposes without written authorization is not allowed. Automated systems (bots, scraping) to extract data in bulk from the site are prohibited.

Ownership and trademark

The name SalentoMares, the logo, the code, the design and the calm-sea index algorithm are the property of the site operator. Source weather and marine data (Copernicus Marine, ERA5, weather models) remain the property of their respective providers and are used under their public licenses.

Beach club submissions

The contact form for beach club operators is only meant to collect proposals: sending a message does not constitute a contract and does not guarantee publication or visibility on the site. Any commercial agreement is defined separately, in writing.

Changes

These terms and the service itself may change over time, even without notice, to improve data accuracy or comply with new technical or legal requirements.
